University of Hawaii & Manoa Falls Trail
Ride away from Waikiki toward the mountains past the University of Hawaii into Manoa Valley. Follow the road up to the base of Manoa Falls trail for an hour long round trip hike. Make sure to bring closed-toe shoes, because it does get muddy. Riding to Manoa Falls Trail is just one segment within the Honolulu Experience. Directions
Make a right on Paoakalani Ave. Take first right onto Cartwright Road and left onto Kapahulu Ave around the ALA WAI GOLF COURSE. Take a left onto Date Street. Make a right at University Ave. Follow past the UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII MANOA where University Ave turns into Oahu Ave. The grade is going to incline until you reach the falls. Make a right at Manoa Road. Follow Manoa Road to the base of MANOA FALLS TRAIL. It’s a 3/4 mile hike to a 150 foot waterfall. Make sure to visit the LYON ARBORETUM while you are up there. After your hiking and exploring check out ANDY’S SANDWICHES on East Manoa Road by turning left on Lowery Ave from Manoa Road and then right onto East Manoa Road. They have good sandwiches and smoothies. To continue onto the Punchbowl Cemetery and downtown area, turn right onto Nehoa Street from Manoa Road. To head back to the shop, stay on East Manoa Road make a left on University Ave and continue until it reaches Kapiolani Blvd. Take a right onto Kapiolani Blvd and turn left onto McCully Street. Cross over McCully Bridge and take a left onto Kalakaua Ave. Make another left onto Kapahulu Ave and left at Lemon Road to return to the shop.
